Logan Town Center

Volunteer Opportunities

The second annual Meet Me on Main Street event on Saturday, May 12th will explore the decade of the 1920’s.
All are welcome to get involved in making this one even better than the first!
If you weren't able to make the initial planning meeting on January 17th, but want to get involved or just find out more about the event, please contact Marjorie Saving at (740) 385-5023,  Karen Raymore at (740) 385-2750 ext. 222 or Judie Henniger at (740) 385-4781.

Please help Logan Town Center develop ideas and strategies for revitalizing historic downtown Logan by completing a 28-question survey.  Click here to go to the survey.

A good way for you to get involved in advancing Logan Town Center's mission of revitalizing our historic downtown neighborhood is to come to one of our monthly general meetings.  We usually meet the first Thursday of each month although February's meeting will be on the second Thursday because the first one is Groundhog Day.  We meet at 8 a.m. at M&M Family Diner, 34 West Main St.

The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, February 9th at 8 a.m.

To find out what other items we will be working on at this meeting, contact Sandra Ogle, LTC President, at (740) 808-2665 (e-mail: commissioners@co.hocking.oh.us).

Please, join the discussions.   Everyone is welcome!

WALKABILITY: a key facet of sustainable development.

At a gathering hosted by Logan Town Center, Logan native Aaron Ogle presented information that will be helpful to the redevelopment and revitalization of Logan's historic neighborhoods as well as information on some of the most current uses of technology.

Aaron is a software developer at Azavea, a GIS software development firm based in Philadelphia, PA and the lead developer of walkshed.org.  At Azavea, he specializes in using geographic and web technologies to build solutions of social value.  A Logan native, he graduated salutatorian from Logan High School in 1998 and summa cum laude from Harding University in 2002.  Besides being a tech geek, he is an advocate for walkable and sustainable communities, an amateur theologian, a runner, a reader, a husband, and a dad.

We are beginning to implement a second blog, this one to help us exchange ideas and information in developing our plans, programs and individual projects. There is a link to 2nd Blog in the left hand column of this page and our other Main Street Program pages.  Check out the posts, look at other vollunteers' comments and add your own comments.

If you are unfamiliar with commenting on blog entries or posting an entry, go to our blog help page.
