Historic District proposed to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

On behalf of Logan Town Center, historic preservation consultants Judy Williams and Nathalie Wright, have submitted a draft nomination for listing a Logan Historic District in the National Register of Historic Places.

The draft nomination is documented by a 4-page Registration Form supplemented by:
The proposed National Register historic district boundary describes the same area that we have been studying since we revised our study-area in November 2008, except for the houses on the north side of Mound Street.  Here is the rationale for this change (from the end of the Section 10 supplement): "The residential area northwest of the proposed district maintains integrity, but has been excluded as it relates more closely to later neighborhood development than it does the early village development.  It should be evaluated separately for its own significance and development."

The State Historic Preservation Office now begins their review of the draft nomination; this review may result in further changes to the district boundary.
